Counter Strike: THE FPS

Counter-Strike is one of the most popular and influential tactical first-person shooter video games in history. It was created by Minh “Gooseman” Le and Jess “Cliffe” Cliffe as a modification for Half-Life, a sci-fi shooter game developed by Valve Corporation. Le and Cliffe released the first version of Counter-Strike in 1999 as a free download for Half-Life players. The mod quickly gained a large fan base and attracted the attention of Valve, who hired Le and Cliffe and acquired the rights to Counter-Strike in 2000. Valve then published Counter-Strike as a standalone game for Windows, and later for other platforms such as Xbox, OS X, Linux, and PlayStation 3.
